The setting out of this project was not easy for these three Painting and Decorating adult trainees. They worked on a flat ply board and painted it to look like a paneled door, the ratio of dado to door was given to them by myself - I'll change the dimensions next time. The top of the wall (the filling) has been colour washed and the dado is plain blown vinyl glazed and wiped. The woodwork has been grained in oak and mahogany. There is a stencil on the top but because of the colour wash it cannot be seen - again I'll change the brief to include a plain frieze for the stencil to go on.
